Hey Ryan and Dan,
Just confirmed with the team. To be more specific:
1. It would be great to have a Parquet RC in the next week or two, so
that we can cut an RC for Spark 1.3.0.
2. It would be great to have a released version with the patches (not
RC) before we release Spark 1.3.0, which is targeted towards end of Feb.
If that's impossible, an RC release also sounds good.

I don't recommend the RC releases because I don't think the API is
covered by compatibility guarantees. But, I doubt there will be any
breaking changes between the RCs and the final 1.6.0 so it is up to
you guys using the API.
