My usage of pdfbox is pretty speed critical. As it stands right now, the code in HEAD is still quite a bit slower than we would like for our purposes.
I've begun some profiling tests using JIP and started to identify slow spots. This is mainly a heads-up. I will start to create JIRA issues and will post suggested changes that will help with the performance. I've already coded up and tested one mod to BaseParser that significantly speeds up the loading/parsing of documents and will post that shortly. Cheers, Dr. Mel Martinez [email protected]
