Sounds good to me. Can the patch for PDFBOX-737 [1] be included? It's just a simple null check which handles PDFs which are probably out of spec (but this case does occur in the PDFs I see "in the wild"). Unfortunately I cannot provide an example as the data in all my PDFs is all confidential.
