As a first step for those who are interested and don't know it
already, there's already a git mirror of the PDFBox codebase in
http://git.apache.org/. It's also mirrored on GitHub at
https://github.com/apache/pdfbox.
It's even possible to use git as an svn client and commit changes from
your git clone to svn. See http://wiki.apache.org/general/GitAtApache
for instructions on how to set that up.
Thx for that information. So the only different seams to be, that
instead of pushing changes via "git push" the command will be "git svn
dcommit". Sounds amazing and is a good alternative or the better one.
