1) You didn't clearly mentioned in your description that you are using a .NET
environment. The error came from your .NET wrapper. The java version works as
expected
2) The given pdf uses a JBIG2 encoded image which isn't supported out of the
box. You have to add a JBIG2-ImageIO-plugin to your classpath. I don't know if
this works for your .NET-wrapper
