We are done here. All the optimizations speed up the processing from 3 up to 30
times, depending on the use case.
I did the following optimizations:
* use an existing cache for all kind of fonts
* introduce a new cache for a codepoint to width mapping to speed up
getStringWidth
* simplify the code including the access to the inverted encoding map
* DRY refactoring
