I'll try again with that last paragraph...

I'm sure there will be hundreds of JIRA emails. Is there any way to turn them off for the fields
"component" and "fix version"?
The only thing I know, is to use a "bulk change" and disable the mail notification. It's in thw tools drop-down menu when displaying a search result as list.

Thanks, I'm sure me and Tilman we be taking full advantage of the new
"Rendering" category soon.

I'm trying to assign as many issues to components as possible. My goal is to be
able to have a list of all the open rendering issues.

I’d like to propose that we rename the “PDFReader” component on JIRA to
“Swing GUI”. There are new issues being opened against it frequently which
are unrelated.
Good idea, done

We can then create a new JIRA component for people to report problems in the
“pdfviewer” package. We could give it a clear name like “Graphics” or
“Rendering”
or “PDF Viewer”.
I've choosen "Rendering"

Sorry for all the JIRA update e-mails! Spring cleaning.
No need to worry, some things have to be done from time to time ;-)

Cheers
