I vote for this patch to be applied. I saw a similar issue before in
xmlgraphics: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=1345323. At
the time I tracked this behavior to this fix:
http://bugs.java.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6549882. Maybe it also affects JPEG,
not just PNG.
