The issue of the patterns being drawn in their parent stream's initial
coordinate space doesn't seem to have an easy solution given the current
architecture of PDFBox, so we might want to look into a workaround, such as
just multiplying the size of the pattern by the overall scaling factor (i.e.
the DPI of the page), I think this would solve the issue with "blocky"
patterns.
