Seems to be dependent on the VM. I tried pdfbox-app-1.8.7.jar and
pdfbox-app-2.0.0-20141022.080502-622.jar with and wo -nonSeq and with
- OSX Java 1.7.0_55 -> failed
- OSX Java 1.6.0_65 -> failed
- Fedora Java 1.7.0_55 -> failed
- Fedora Java 1.7.0_71 -> failed
