Subclassing isn't a general-purpose extensibility mechanism. Exposing these
kinds of APIs to downstream clients comes with hefty drawbacks in terms of
flexibility for future PDFBox development.
It sounds like what you really want is some sort of caching in
PDPageContentStream, but I don't know what you mean by "cache the last set
data".
