Tim Allison commented on PDFBOX-2856:
-------------------------------------
[~lehmi], I was comparing apples to oranges. I just tested with the nonseq
parser in 1.8.9....still about 5 seconds.
In 1.8.9, a single parse of the file connected with this issue takes ~4-5
seconds with the classic parser with and without scratch files.
In 1.8.9, the non-sequential parser also takes ~4-5 seconds with scratch files
(loadNonSeq doesn't have an option not to use a scratch file...right?).
My n is quite small...these numbers are not true benchmarks. :)
> Markedly slower processing for particular file in 2.0.0-trunk vs 1.8.9

> As part of TIKA-1285, we noticed that the attached file is taking quite a bit
> longer with PDFBox 2.0.0 trunk than with 1.8.9.
> [~lehmi] confirmed 4-5x slower.
> Not sure what the cause is.
