I'm not sure about the "Cookbook". Examples which don't compile when copy +
pasted are not particularly helpful. I say this as somebody who learned PDFBox
myself only a couple of years ago - the cookbook was not a good resource, being
as it is a mix of not enough details (code doesn't compile) and too many
irrelevant details.
I'd argue for retiring the cookbook in 2.0 and focusing instead on examples
which are part of our o.a.p.examples module and actually compile. We can link
to them from the Examples section of the 2.0 website, providing a summary of
each example etc, rather than just the single link which is there currently.
