even if the CapHeight is not perfect wouldn't it makes sense to use that? I had
the same when implementing the 'formatter' for AcroForm field appearance
generation.
Sorry when the question might be stupid - didn't look at the code. But
shouldn't the box also cover the descender area? The red marks only go from the
baseline upwards.
