Yes, I'm using JDK8.
Actually I've just found this link:

I tried to use "-Dsun.java2d.cmm=sun.java2d.cmm.kcms.KcmsServiceProvider" and
it indeed solved my issue.
So perhaps the ticket can be closed then (since it's not a PDFBox issue).
