Tilman Hausherr commented on PDFBOX-3168:
-----------------------------------------
Ok, I'm closing this issue, as it's kind of a misunderstanding. A new issue can
be created like "produce compressed object streams", but is it really that
important? In all these years, there have not been a request to force
compressed XRef streams, which is somewhat similar, i.e. saves a little bit of
space. We're not many people here, and I'd prefer that the few available brains
do changes that are more important and more visible, e.g. allow to sign
encrypted files.

> When embedding font subsets, theses subsets are included uncompressed in the
> PDF.
> I assume it would makes sense to flate-encode them for space reasons.
