Tilman Hausherr commented on PDFBOX-2934:
-----------------------------------------

The issue title is confusing, sorry. In this issue, the existing code for Alpha
was disabled and reenabled, but only for the trunk. It is enabled in 2.0 but
this won't help because of many bugs in the transparency handling that have not
been solved in the 2.0 branch. Please try building the trunk (many transparency
bugs have been solved), or attach your file in PDFBOX-3000, or e-mail it to me
(tilman at snafu dot de) if the file is semi confidential) and I'll render it
with the trunk.

> The smask feature /S /Alpha is either not implemented or not working at all.
> I have two files that are wrongly rendered with the current software, and
> correctly rendered when the feature is disabled \(!\). As a first step, I am
> disabling it for now and attach test files. Johns proposed patch has also
> disabled the feature, so I think we can agree on that.
