Re "print operation was terminated" I can't comment because it hasn't happened
to me and it's unclear from your text what happened at all. But we have an
issue (PDFBOX-3046) that classic printing (i.e. without the dpi trick)
sometimes takes very long. Maybe processes that take a long time are killed on
your system?
Re the actual issue, I'll keep it open for now although I don't have a any idea
what to do. One of our competitors can print your file properly so it should be
possible.
The whole thing is worse than I thought. It isn't just your file, it's all
files with small tiling patterns that I tested: several files from PDFBOX-1094,
and the file created by the CreatePatternsPDF.java example. Each time the
pattern is missing in print.
