Wolfgang Hamann edited comment on PDFBOX-3740 at 4/2/17 6:42 AM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

About the OutputIntent - somebody at verapdf already has helped me to add
suitable data. This is one of the points where I would like to understand what
I am doing and why. After all the intent of the document is just to apply black
colorant to white(ish) paper - be it ink, toner, or even oven soot.
The other one I am somewhat in doubt about is the document ID: I am not
creating PDF by hand, obviously. So for the intial/changed IDs to have a real
meaning the application creating the files would need to implement an initial /
revised system. What about systems that treat pdf creation as a print driver?

> Encoding entry for the standard 14...

> 1 - full embedding of font
> 2 - just Encoding
> 3 - complete font descriptor
> rendering results and preflight warnings
> gs acro xpdf preflight
> ok ok bad many
> ok ok ok 2
> ok bad ok 1
