Mikhail Semionenko commented on PDFBOX-3844:
--------------------------------------------
I've already specified the moment with CMYK images, and I'm already using build
2.0.7, the link to which I was given in task PDFBOX-3823.
You indicated that you need to use JPEGFactory, but I'm working with the code
from PDFBOX-3823, and I get PDImageXObject as CMYK without compression.
JPEGFactory does not work with CMYK images. Are there any other ways to
compress CMYK images?
> Is there jpeg-compression of images?

> If you add large images in PDF, the resulting document becomes large. I've
> added about 80 images in size 2100x2100px in the document, and got about
> 400-500mb in the PDF file.
> From the document analysis (attached screen shot from Acrobate Pro DC), you
> can see that zip / flate compression is used for added images. I would like
> to be able to compress images in a document using jpeg compression (something
> like industry-standard compression filters). Is there such an opportunity
> now? Can it be add in the future?
> P.S. RGB and CMYK images are used.
> Thanks.
