Wow, this is the first time that LCMS is faster than KCMS. It's the CalGray
colorspace. I'll add a cache.
The change from PDFBOX-4022 doesn't help because that was about many
colorspaces. Here we have only one. This issue is somewhat similar to
PDFBOX-4060 and PDFBOX-3858.
