Peter Johnson commented on PDFBOX-4367:
---------------------------------------

We are using Tika programmatically.  However, I could not figure out how to
have it only parse one page at a time.  There is a way to override the
ContentHandler to receive one page at a time after it is parsed, but by then it
is too late.

If you do make the change to allow us to skip bad content (by page or any other
means of dividing text), that would be greatly appreciated.  We would then try
to get that option exposed in Tika.  Thanks for the responses!

> Components: Text extraction
> Affects Versions: 2.0.12

> Priority: Minor
>
> Able to repeat with command line.  Unfortunately, the only files that repeat
> this are from a customer, and contain sensitive information.  The file opens
> without error in Acrobat Reader and Mac Preview.  The desired result is that
> any corrupt portions of the PDF are skipped, so that we can use what text is
> extractable.
> Unfortunately, I still get an error when using the -force option.
