It works for me and it outputs "8605.0" on windows. Possible reasons:
1) your font is different, I tried with {{new
FileInputStream("c:/windows/fonts/times.ttf")}} instead of the resource
2) your font is not properly loaded due to resource filtering. Only relevant
if you use maven. To see if that is the case, try loading the font directly
like I did.
