Resolution: Won't Fix
Dropping that as
a) there is no active work
b) to fulfil the target work would need to be done not only to pdfbox and
fontbox but we'd also need to cover other areas of technology
c) there are many fixes under the covers when reading a pdf which would need to
be respected/ignored
d) AFAIK there were discussion in the PDF Association about doing PDF
validation but that has not been followed as different vendors have implemented
different fixes over time. So a validation would likely mark many PDFs in the
wild as being invalid but still usable.
