Re the deprecated / deleted method - it's not used, and doing the bugfix isn't
that difficult, but it would be difficult to test it because the method isn't
used. But if anybody outside PDFBox uses it, please come forward, I would then
find a way to test it, e.g. open the font twice, get the glyphs with both
methods and compare.
