Maruan Sahyoun commented on PDFBOX-5736:
----------------------------------------

Looking at what Acrobat calculates we should get closer to a value of 8.931 for
the font size

I've quickly looked at some options to compare using the current implementation
as well as some other characteristics available. Some are getting closer but we
are at least still around a little more than 1pt off. Will need some further
investigation. This would then also need to be tested with other fonts.

Current sample values are leaving off the various options how I got them:
{code}
14.603616
 6.8942876
 9.952606
13.358778
{code}

so there is a wide range. Will look at the font file to compare with the PDF
embedded info.

> From a question posted on stack overflow:
> https://stackoverflow.com/questions/77558220/apache-pdfbox-gray-faint-underscores-2-0-26
> I'm wondering if this is a bug or a feature / misunderstanding, that an
> autosize acroform text field may cut off glyphs vertically in some cases?
