Did everything existing vanish? In that case, look at the parameters in
PageContentStream so that you use append. Use the 5-parameters constructor.
Are you unsatisfied with the shape? Then create a different shape than a
rectangle and fill that one.
If it still doesn't work, please upload source and result PDFs to a
sharehoster (don't attach files!) and then post the links and describe
that you wanted instead.
