Please test with 3.0.3, maybe the bugfix in PDFBOX-5810 is related to it? If 
not, please include code that shows the problem. All needed would be 
{{stream.showText("....");}} we can then see how it looks in an editor and how 
it looks in the PDF so see that it is wrong. Btw our GSUB code does not cover 
all type of tables (e.g. type 6), so I hope it isn't related to that.
