According to jacoco it isn't used. I couldn't find a project in github that
uses it, except padaf which is the name of the project that was donated to us
by Atos Worldline, where it was used in XMPDocumentBuilder.java, a class that
no longer exists. (I think it was rewritten into DomXmpParser and this was done
in PDFBOX-1388 / r1401751 on 24.10.2012).
