Thanks. It's too late for 3.0.7 (vote is out today) but I agree this should be
in the next versions. I'm a bit embarrassed reading the other issue, it refers
to a FOP issue that has similar code. By a PDFBox committer. And we somehow
"lost" the class you mention when moving to 2.0.
