The Polding Project Management Committee (PPMC) for Apache Pegasus has invited Guohao Li(github: GehaFearless) to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that they have accepted.
He works on Pegasus for more than two years and his main contributions made to the Pegasus community are as follows: 1. Interface optimization: - Optimize the usage scenario of the copy_data program to support writing in multi_set mode, improving the copy speed. - Optimize the RPC response content of the ‘count_data’ interface, improving the speed of retrieving table data. 2. Expand the usage scenarios: - Support for Kerberos-configured ZooKeeper to manage Pegasus metadata. - Support arch platform & Apple M1 platform for using pegasus. - Add java API to manipulation table(drop/rename/create). - Support server limited network protocol mode (tcp or udp). 3. chore: - Add bench mark for multi_get/multi_set. - Fix several bugs. - Implement rocksdb file-level cluster migration scheme. - Share topic “How we support thousands of Pegasus clusters” on “Pegasus 2021 Meetup”. Over the course of two years, Guohao made over 26 commits to Pegasus repositories and actively participated in code review, making significant contributions to the improvement of code quality. Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. A PMC member helps manage and guide the direction of the project.
