A definite +1 from me. To provide some context, the reason why these changes are being put into 1.0.x is because if existing Akka cluster users want to migrate to Pekko the target Pekko release branch for this is 1.0.x due to the fact that this version series has an explicit goal to be as close to Akka 2.6 as possible with critical bug fixes/security fixes as an exception. This means that for anyone doing an actual akka -> pekko cluster migration they will always target Pekko 1.0.x solely due to this.
While there are arguments for and against putting the migration functionality in Pekko 1.1.0-M1, due to the amount of things we have on our plate right now with the milestone release it's best to have this discussion later. We can also make a consecutive 1.1.0-M2 milestone later if we decide to put the cluster migration functionality in the 1.1.0 series and we will have more capacity to do so then.
