I've tested mod_perl some more with the .def file I sent
earlier that includes the symbols needed by AxKit and libapreq.
So far the one problem I've had is with the mod_perl PerlRun
test and not finding a file - I'll look into this some more
on the weekend. The other tests all pass. Are there any problems
with AxKit? Embperl compiles OK, but there's some issues
(separate from mod_perl) with some of the tests unique to the
ActiveState compile flags. I've also looked at some of the
(simpler) Apache::* non-standard modules. Also, a script that
could be used in the mod_perl ppm to grab and install
ApacheModulePerl.dll seems to work fine.
As well as the "competition" with PerlEx, ActiveState may not
want to maintain a mod_perl ppm, as that would involve
keeping up with versions of both mod_perl and Apache itself.
