Hi,
I'm using cvs latest httpd-2.0, modperl-2.0 and although apache compiles and
installs fine I've not been able to get through perl Makefile.PL in
modperl-2.0.
The root of the error appears to be Apache::Build->httpd_version, which is
not returning a good value. If I hard code '2.0' into Makefile.PL I get
some of the way through, but the perl modules starting with
WrapXS/Apache/Access/Access.pm complain
'/usr/bin/apxs -q INCLUDEDIR' failed:
apxs:Error: 0 0prefix)/bin/httpd not found or not executable
( This is the same error I was getting all the way through before hard-coding
'2.0' into the top-level Makefile.PL )
The only thing I'm doing different from 'standard' is using a layout from
config.layout, rather than simply stating the prefix in the initial
httpd configuration.
If anyone has run into this before or can see more clearly than I where the
problem lies, please let me know, as I'm keen to start playing around with
modperl-2.0.
