It appears that this just won't work in BSD with existing measurements provided, since CoW pages *are* what is shared in the perl part. The text pages are pretty much irrelevent since it is only the perl interpreter itself, really. I guess we just say that you can only limit on total resident page size rather than shared/unshared portion. Does anyone know if libgtop might provide this info accurately on BSD? I'll probe the FreeBSD list to find suggestions on how to get these measurements.
