For now, things in Apache::Directive, Apache::Command and Apache::Module having to do with apache's configuration tree and modules have been made mostly read-only.
After thinking about this a bit, I believe they might be changed to writable before child-init, read-only otherwise. I am not sure why, but I could imagine a module wanting to perform evil transformation to module/configuration at startup.
