The segfault is happening on the output filter side. Are there
any mp2 output filters in play (t/filter/out_str_ctx?) that might be screwing things up? I haven't fully groked these failing tests,
so any tips will help.

they shouldn't affect this test. Actually I haven't investigated that case at all yet, I just got the segfault over this night and posted to see if anybody else may have seen it too. Once I finish with the replacement of safemalloc with subpool testing in the filters, i'll take a look at this.
