I believe the so called *community* has no idea what is awaiting them. Hardly anybody is on that dev list.

Hmm - I would beinterested in knowing how many folks^Wlurkers are on the list as users/researchers/sysamins etc.

I would hope that the majority of linux vendors are at least lurking here?

At the moment the community knows that the API has been frozen already and moving full speed to mp2. It doesn't know about the changes we discuss on the dev list.

FYI: I have to install MP2 on client systems as part of applications and need to know *in advance* of changes. Personally I am happy to see changes in the interface as its impact on our software is minimal - perhaps changes to some TP modules but that is SOP :-)

IMHO the fact that the Stas as co are discussing this change (instead
of doing it then telling us about it after the fact) reflects upon
how much more professional they are than some projects I track.

I have no bias yay or nay (I will not say what I think of CPAN!)
- just make a decision and stick with it.

Jacqui
