Hello,
I have found one problem with the rc5 tar ball:

This tar ball contains mac ._XXX files. This files causes the build to
fail on UNIX.

...
cp Apache.pm ../blib/lib/Apache.pm
cp ._Apache.pm ../blib/lib/._Apache.pm
Manifying ../blib/man3/Apache.3
        /usr/local/bin/perl5.8.9_32 "-I../blib/arch" "-I../blib/lib"
._Makefile.PL ._Makefile
Unrecognized character \x05 in column 2 at ._Makefile.PL line 1.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 255.

Stop.
gmake: *** [subdirs] Error 2

Is there a specific reason why this files are included in the tar ball ??

The build went well after I have removed all MAC related ._XX files.
Looks good on AIX 5.3 / Apache 1.3.41.

Bye
  Rainer
