James Taylor commented on PHOENIX-1343:
---------------------------------------
There won't be a need to modify server and introduce any kind of locking for
transaction support. Instead, the transaction implementation would use snapshot
isolation and optimistic concurrency with conflict detection. Take a look at
Tephra as that what we're considering using:

> I'm working on function for insert unique values to an array. Logic should be
> implemented on region server coprocessor (for enforcing consistency and no
> network round trip). First step is to get current values of the array, merge
> with upsert values and write as new value.
