Rajeshbabu Chintaguntla updated PHOENIX-1115:
---------------------------------------------
    Attachment: tracing_in_different_rdbms.pdf

[~jamestaylor] Here is simple doc how tracing used in different RDBMS.
The visualizing tools will be super helpful. And also as [~jeffreyz] mentioned
we can provide an option in connection where to print the trace information
like console/file/none. By default we can have NONE option so it will not be
printed anywhere. If user want to see the trace info session can be changed
with different traceoutput option.
What do you say?

> Provide a SQL command to turn tracing on/off

> Provide a SQL command that turns tracing on and off. For example, Oracle has
> this:
> {code}
> ALTER SESSION SET sql_trace = true;
> ALTER SESSION SET sql_trace = false;
> {code}
> We might consider allowing the sampling rate to be set as well.
