Cool!
Cumulative metrics are nice because their measurement is not skewed by how 
frequently we retrieve them.

Is there any way to tell the size of generated spool files as well number of 
bytes received from the region servers?
(If it's tricky or expensive it's not worth it, otherwise those would be good 
to have)
