When we have multiple indexes some times there is chance that we may select an
index with that we may need to scan through huge number of records to find
matching records. But in some cases merging two or more indexes results may
give better result.
Support similiar index merge optimizations as in mysql

This can be supported with local indexes without much overhead. We have
supported the same feature in hindex(https://github.com/Huawei-Hadoop/hindex/)
which is giving better results as well.
