Devaraj Das updated PHOENIX-971:
--------------------------------
    Attachment: 971-secure-login.patch

[~ndimiduk], this should address the issue of the query server connecting to
secure HBase clusters. Note that this doesn't address the issue of
authenticated accesses to the query server itself. The patch is on top of your
yesterday's patch -
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/attachment/12723770/PHOENIX-971.01.patch.

> Host the JDBC driver in a query server process that can be deployed as a
> middle tier between lighter weight clients and Phoenix+HBase. This would
> serve a similar optional role in Phoenix deployments as the
> [HiveServer2|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/Setting+Up+HiveServer2]
> does in Hive deploys.
