Prashant Kommireddi commented on PHOENIX-1965:
----------------------------------------------

The only thing I would be concerned with would be backward compat between 0.13
and 0.12. And I am not worried about it actually, there is not much end-user
facing backward incompat that could impact users of *Phoenix-Pig integration*.
0.13 has more features/bug fixes that users could benefit from.

Take a look here at the list of backward compat
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/PIG/Pig+0.13+Backward+Compatibility.
A few of these are actually improvements IMHO and minor.

> Upgrade Pig to version 0.13
