Hey folks, [~prkommireddi] et al, it's cool to iterate in github PRs, but
please squish down to a single commit when pushing upstream. I see at least 4
commits associated with this ticket, which adds further headache to our already
extreme 7 active branches. One JIRA, one commit. Thanks.
