+1 on the release. - Tried 4.5.1-HBase-0.98 RC1 using binary artifacts. Ran the jars through a bunch of internal Salesforce tests, everything checks out. - Verified that PHOENIX-2177 is fixed in this release. Admin.modifyTable() is no longer invoked on column creation for views. No more C_M_MODIFY_TABLE in HBase logs with subsequent table compaction and reassignment.
