Best to run all tests (use mvn verify). Yes, master is for 4.6 for HBase 1.1,
4.x-HBase-0.98 is for 4.6 for HBase 0.98, and 4.x-HBase-1.0 is for HBase 1.0.
Definitely commit to all the 4.x branches.
