This just landed in Avatica 1.8.0. Will likely get a release cut up there in
the next few weeks. After that, we'll automatically get that functionality here.
One other thing I was thinking about was updating pherf to have an option to
use the addBatch/updateBatch APIs. Will throw up a patch for that ahead of time.
