Though cleaner, your fix seems higher risk and less isolated than the previous
fix. There maybe corner cases with offset with/without limit, joins, union,
other iterators inside a LimitingResultIterator apart from the
LookAheadIterator, etc. The LookAheadIterator now has to be aware of the limit
where as before it didn't. The PageFilter should prevent any extra RPCs through
the state it keeps. I think we should hold off on this patch until we know more
about the cause (which may allow us a more localized workaround).
